Joseph Yobo set to return to active football.

Joseph Yobo is set to return to active football with a Nigerian club side barely a month after his testimonial match.

According to a report on completesportsnigeria.com,the 35 years old former super eagles defender who said his goodbye to active football last month has reached an agreement with League Management Company(LMC) to feature for a club in the last 12 games of the current season.

The former Everton defender, according to the LMC, will be assigned to a club under the NPFL Elite Players Scheme under which former Yobo's team mate and Nigerian international, Sani Kaita benefited from two seasons ago.

Report has it that Akwa Utd, FC IfeanyiUbah, Kano Pillars, and Wikki Tourists are said to be on the trail for Yobo's service.

According to sources, FC IfeanyiUbah looks like most likely destination.

The former  Nigerian international last featured for English championship side, Norwich City.
